1 cup of Rice
Beef and steak already cooked (leftovers)
2 cups of Broccoli
1/2 cup of Soy sauce
Seasonings: 2 cloves of Garlic, 2 Tbs of Brown Sugar, 1 tsp of Parsley
We did not make it too true to fried rice because as you remember I date someone who is very picky. So when he orders his fried rice he always gets it without any vegetables or onions. I was honestly lucky to get the broccoli in it. I did cut the broccoli smaller so there was not a complaint of too much vegetables (yeah it’s that deep to him, haha).
Onto the preparation…
The rice was cooked the same way I normally cook sticky rice. Boil the water for your rice making sure your water is salty to taste. When the water boils add in your rice. There should be more water than rice, and if most of it boils away you can add more so the rice soaks it up. When the rice was done, I added a little butter and left it to the side for a moment. The beef, as I said, was already prepared. This was more of a dish where we could use some leftovers we had in the fridge. We actually had some beef and steak leftover in the fridge so I cut that up and put it in the pot to heat. To that I added soy sauce, seasoning salt, garlic, and parsley to the meat for some more flavor. I also added a little bit of dark brown sugar. It is honestly one of my favorite ingredients to cook with surprisingly. Brown sugar adds this sweet taste I feel some dishes need. When the meat was heated up I threw in the rice and fried it in a pan with some more soy sauce until it was golden brown and more garlic. I threw in the broccoli after I prepared and cut it up. The stirred some more.
Serving: Easy, I put it all in a bowl.
Complaints: None, he loved it. It was honestly great and I had some duck sauce to eat it with, and he ate it with more soy sauce.
